First Missouri Bank has been working on exciting changes so that we may better serve you. Chief among them is a new name, which we are excited to share with you, as of August 29 we are Verimore Bank!

Verimore reflects our core values. The root word “veri” translates to “true” or “genuine,” while “more” communicates what we will offer our customers and communities. Verimore Bank represents our commitment to being the most trusted, go-to financial partner for our clients and colleagues!

We carefully chose this name going forward, because we think you should expect and get more from your bank. And that’s what we promise to deliver – more value, convenience, community involvement and ways to meet your banking needs.

Our greatest strength is in our personal relationships, so our mission will always be to do more to help our clients, colleagues and communities grow and prosper.

Further, the name Verimore Bank name is customer-centric rather than location-centric. It conveys what we do, versus where we do it. We invest in the communities we serve and are committed to making them better places to live and work. Increasingly, this means we are serving valued communities near our state borders. The refreshed name allows us to include our customers in and outside of Missouri, as four of our five branches are situated within 30 miles of neighboring states.

Verimore Bank is the same community bank you know and trust, with the same personal touches you’ve come to expect. The staff and ownership have not changed. The bank is still locally owned by the same people who live near its branches, and we remain a fiercely independent banking option for our customers.

As excited as we are about this announcement, we want you to know the changes will be seamless to you. Mobile banking, online banking, debits cards, checks and social media will work and be accessible as always. Changes and updates will happen from our end.
